DECA hosts annual winter formal

Snowball is right around the corner. The winter formal is Saturday, January 17th, from 7-10. The theme is Starry Night. DECA prepares this event for a fundraiser to go to nationals competition. 

The DECA teacher, Joseph Euteneuer, says it’s their biggest fundraiser 

“It is DECA’s biggest fundraiser,” said Euteneuer. “We hope a lot of students come out and have a great time.”

DECA is a non-profit organization that prepares high schools for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management through hands-on activities, competitive events, and leadership development. 

Junior Katy Witt says the Snoball dance is very important to DECA. 

“The SnoBall dance is extremely important to us; we all enjoy coming together to plan the event,” said Witt. “The commission we make from the tickets is extremely important. The commission we make goes to our DECA program and allows us to stay active in the program and go to events.”
