With Halloween coming up, candy corn Should not be handed out as it doesn’t do much good or excitement to the children. The typical candy corn has been around for a long time, specifically since the 1880’s originating from the company Wunderle Candy Co. The 1880’s was obviously an outdated time compared to now, and there should be some improvements and new inventions. It’s time for candy corn to go and more modern seasonal candies to emerge. And quite honestly, hopefully better tasting ones. The taste of candy corn gets tiring especially when it’s the basic candy given out every single year. It is true that kids would be much more content with newer candies and brands.
For example, the typical candies like Twix, Snickers, and other chocolate candies that are year round actually come out with a seasonal version. candy corn is not able to do this as it is limited to only one Holiday which is of course Halloween. The world and the children deserve a more versatile candy like Reeses’. This particular chocolate candy actually transforms into shapes AND flavors depending on the holidays. For example, it consists of christmas trees, jack-o-lantern’s, and even bunnies for Easter. This is what we need more of for the candy world. Versatile and tasty!
Since candy corn has no major flavors within it, it can get majorly sweet very quickly. Of course many people have a sweet tooth, but that is just too sweet after a while. People would want something they could savor and enjoy whilst continuing to eat their sweet treat. Receiving candy corn is more of a trick than a treat when you find it in your bag. When I see candy corn at the bottom of my bag, I definitely think “I’m for sure going to be giving this away, or it will be sitting in this bag for the next 2 years.” I know that I’m not the only one with this view on candy corn because it is proven on many occasions and lists. This Halloween when you receive candy corn in your bag, hope to receive less and less every year as candy corn should go extinct in the world of Holiday candy.
