The cheering, the yelling, the rivalry between teams, the Friday night lights, the energy from the players these are some of the things that make a Homecoming Football game. If you aren’t excited for this tradition you have a heart of stone.
Junior Etienne Higgins believes that it’s important because of the history behind it.
“Probably because it’s a tradition throughout the country,” Higgins said. “I know Missouri started it, It’s really important cause it’s been done for so many years.”
The homecoming football game has been a tradition for many many years. Every school takes a lot of pride in their homecoming game. Every student of the school is talking about the game all week. It usually is two rivals playing each other which makes the game way more exciting. A lot of people, especially alumni, come to this homecoming game.
Junior Isaiah Lusajo believes it’s the school spirit that makes the homecoming game so important.
“I’d say it’s the passion and the school spirit and everyone wants to win,” Lusajo said.
