Your 2023 guide to V-Day in the Metro

It’s that time of the year and love is in the air, but you’re left wondering what you’re going to do for Valentine’s Day. Do you buy your partner flowers? Or maybe some expensive jewelry? Or maybe just a nice romantic dinner? Here are some fun ideas to do to celebrate this day of love at a location near you.

Gift Ideas (Cheap or no cost) 

  • Write a love letter- Such a small gesture but the words you use will speak to the other person 
  • Make Origami hearts and roses
  • Make little cards that they can pick from
  • Take a walk around Bayliss Park at night and stroll the 100 Block
  • Take a walk on the pedestrian bridge and cross to downtown Omaha
  • Go to the dollar store, get some paint, a canvas and go to a spot with open grass. Have a picnic and paint together
  • Write cute notes in a message for them to open at any moment in time

  • Buy flowers and sweet treats and give them to your valentine
  • Go to the movies
