The Esports team made school history this spring by winning the National Championship through the Vallahan Esports League.
“Winning the National Valhalla Championship was definitely a good memory. We started off last Fall struggling for a win,” said coach Ryan Sinclair.
Team members Caiden Anderson, Caleb Fitzpatrick, Thomas Forbes, Nole Richard, and Keegan McCaffrey all returned with previous experience from the year prior, and led their team to victory in the Rainbow Six Siege game.
“We survived the Winter season of Rocket League, then started off the Spring season of Rainbow Six: Siege, and won every game. We have two championship visits with the Iowa league and one championship win with Valhallan,” said Sinclair.
Competing against 14 teams across the country, the team fought through a rollercoaster of a season and claimed its first ever national championship.
“My favorite part of this season was the roller coaster. We started off the season so excited and soon began struggling, we began winning and never looked back,” said coach David Price.
In prior years the team has succeeded, making it to finals twice. Despite the difficult season they won their first championship with help from their coaches.
“Seeing and feeling the emotions of winning a national championship is second to none, but winning it with this group of young men was priceless. I will never forget this team. The 2026 AL Esports team will live forever,” said Mr. Price.
