Senior power forward Creighton Bracker credits his team’s energy this year to their undefeated season.
The varsity basketball team is off to their best start at 17-0 since the 2019-20 season.
“We all want to work and win everyday, so having the same mindset helps the team mesh better together,” Bracker said.
Senior Isaiah Lusajo agrees. He says Bracker is very skillful.
“He’s always working on his craft,” Lusajo said.
The dynamic of the team is evident to the fans. Bracker says his favorite part about the season is the team itself.
Bracker’s pregame preparation includes many different things. His preparation includes eating snickers, and drinking a fast twitch before games.
Bracker even said he prays a few different times before games.
The Lynx continue their win streak with Bracker starting. He committed to Morningside University late last year.
“I’m excited,” he said. “It’s a great program, and they have had a lot of success on a national level.”
Bracker plans on playing there after his high school career is finished.
Bracker hopes that he is remembered by the school, teammates, and classmates as someone who was “humble” and “confident” and as “someone that left it all on the floor every time.”
The boys travel to take on Sioux City East tonight at 7 p.m.
