Senior Titus Rogers has a lot to prove his final year of high school after missing most of last season.
Rogers has a lot he is looking forward to about the season. After losing 19 graduated seniors from last season, there are a lot of new faces around. “The thing that I am looking forward to most this season is playing this year with my new teammates,” he said.
Rogers does a lot to prepare for each game. “I have been preparing for this season by watching film and getting good reps in practice to make sure I’m prepared for games,” he said.
According to head coach Peter Kilburg, Rogers has grown a lot since last year. “He is playing much faster and more physical than the previous year while understanding the game of football more and making key reads,” Kilburg said. “He is a great lead by example and is one of the hardest workers we have on the team. Whatever the staff asks of him he is more than willing to do and will give 100 percent effort when doing so. We are very happy to have Titus as a member of our team.”
After suffering a broken arm that cut his junior year short, Rogers knows he has had a lot to overcome and now he has a lot to prove. “Considering that fact I didn’t do a lot last season because I broke my arm, what you can expect from me this season is just making the right plays and doing anything I can to help the team win,” he said.
Rogers is motivated by his injury and is enjoying being back on the field playing in his final year of high school.
The Lynx play their next home game against Johnston at Wickersham Stadium Friday in hopes to extend their 3-three game win streak.
