It’s that time of the year, baseball season!! In a week, baseball starts and a lot of teams are looking hot right now, but who is on top? Some say the Braves or the Padres, maybe even the Astros, but I think the Dodgers are going to come out on top. 

They are my favorite team and they have the best players. One of these players is Shohei Otani, a player from Japan, he is a pitcher and a batter but with a recent injury, he will only be hitting for a while. Another player is Mookie Betts, personally my favorite player. He played right field but has recently made a move to the infield. The Braves are also a good team who might have a chance but I like the Dodgers. 

Science teacher Dan Whaley, an unfortunate Reds fan, speaks his thoughts on the season. 

“The Reds are my favorite team so I hope they have a good season,” said Whaley. “I hope they have a good year, they have some talent, they have some good days and some bad days. But there is a lot of baseball to be played.” 

Science teacher Tyler Collins, an amazing Royals fan, shares his thoughts on the upcoming season. 

“My number one team is the Royals. I think they will not finish dead last but not on top of their division. The Dodgers are gonna be the best, along with their new toy Shohei Otani he is such a good hitter” 

Junior Brayden Lindgren, the Padres fan, explains what he thinks about the season. 

“My favorite team is either the Royals or Padres. The top 3 teams are going to be the Padres, Dodgers, Angels, and the Royals. I’m a Royals fan and gotta have faith. Fernando Tatis Jr is the goat by the way.”
