The band “Ghost” has been making music since 2009, with over 8 million monthly listeners. Tobias Forge, the lead singer, started the band with different musicians who are referred to as “The Nameless Ghouls.” These ghouls wear masks to cover their faces and sometimes change as the band’s eras change.
Their most recent album, titled “Skeleta,” debuted at the top of the US Billboard, which was the first time that the band had reached the number one spot. This sparked the “Skeletour,” which started in Europe on April 15 and will end on Sept. 25 in Mexico City.
Forge banned cell phones at the concerts because he wanted people to live in the moment. Since fans couldn’t take photos or videos, they had professional photographers and videographers make content to post on social media.
Each concert featured a different video that had clips of the performance and interactions with the fans. These videos were called “Ghoulbangers Ball,” which hosted Vanessa Warwick, the band’s Social Media Presenter, as their reporter for each concert.
Warwick told the Echoes, “It was great fun being on the Ghost Skeletour! I enjoyed every second.”
Forge liked to leave the concert setlist as a mystery and would change some songs for different locations. All across Europe and the US, fans would look forward to seeing which songs would be sung live.
“It was such a privilege to be able to watch the ritual 51 times across Europe and the US,” Warwick said.
There was an announcement in November of 2024, which assured that more skeleton dates would be coming soon. This leaves fans to wonder when and where they will be debuting next.
