“Avatar: Fire and Ash” has made its debut at the box office and so far, has had incredible success. It is the third movie in the Avatar series, and is about conflict on Pandora rising due to a new, aggressive Na’vi tribe. I have recently watched “Avatar: Fire and Ash” and have to say that this movie hits the expectation level following two very successful movies.
One thing that I loved about “Avatar: Fire and Ash” was that the movie’s plot was not completely different from the other two movies. I have watched lots of movies, and I do know from experience that when a movie decides to make a second or third movie, sometimes the plot is outrageous and does not match the vibe of the first movie at all, and it ruins the movie for me. However, “Avatar: Fire and Ash” does not follow that stereotype. This movie gives me the exact same vibes as the first two, which makes me genuinely want a fourth movie if possible.
Another thing that I loved was how long the movie was. When I was a kid, watching the first Avatar movie, I remember that I absolutely loved it. In fact, I loved it so much I wanted to see it over and over again. Years later, when the latest two came out, I loved that the movies were 3 hours long because it gave us more than a simple hour would have. For me, it hardly felt like 3 hours because the story was so interesting. It kept me entertained, which is hard to do, especially for a movie that long.
The quality of the movie is another key part that made me really enjoy the movie. In all three movies, with the help of new technology, the quality of them has been phenomenal; it almost seems too good to be true. With this new quality, you are able to see the true beauty of Pandora, and it makes you understand why it is so important to the Na’vi. Compared to other movies, all Avatar movies take the number one spot for their quality.
Now, one thing people are not happy about is the main villain. In “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” the main villain is Va’rang, who wants revenge after an accident involving her clan. During the trailers and the clips that they released before the movie dropped, they made it seem that Va’rang was the villain who would cause the most problems, but in reality, she was a little pushed aside, which made people confused or upset. Personally, I thought Va’rang was a great villain and that her role was perfect for her character, but I do understand where other people are coming from, and I think it just matters on the person.
Overall, I thought the movie was fantastic and was the perfect movie to add to the Avatar series. It had great quality, stayed with the same vibe as the other movies, and, for being PG-13, had tons of action. I would say that to watch this movie, you do have to watch the other two to fully understand the plot and to fully enjoy it.
