Recently a new coffee shop opened up in Council Bluffs, Frosted Pine. The coffee shop is located at 2071 E Kanesville and has been a hit with locals. The shop offers a variety of menu items such as; specialty coffee, specialty Redbull/lotus, dirty sodas, smoothies, teas, breakfast items and even new drinks every month. The shop is owned by a former veteran and his wife. So far Frosted Pine has a 4.8-star review and has recently broadened their hours; they are now open Mondays – Fridays 6:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. and Saturdays 8 a.m.-2 p.m. 

I’ve tried many different types of their drinks and their food items as well. I’ve tried all of their specialty coffees, quite a few of their Redbull/lotus drinks, their December specialty drinks, and January specialty drinks. My personal favorite drink from the coffee shop is either their Fruit Pebbles coffee (iced) or their Maui Sunset Red Bull. These are my favorite drinks because they both have a great balance of flavor, personally, I prefer a more sweet drink so these are more suited for that. I also love how their coffees don’t have a bad after-flavor. A lot of times with trying coffee and new drinks it has a really nasty aftertaste but I haven’t experienced that with their coffees.

I’ve been there many times and it never fails to be an amazing experience whenever I’ve gone. At max it takes 10 minutes to get through the drive thru and that’s with around 4 cars in front of me, the drinks always taste fresh and the atmosphere is great. They even offer loyalty punch cards so on your 10th coffee/food purchase you get one free. Overall the coffee shop is a great way to support local businesses and has a great atmosphere.
