After nine years of filming, cast parties, release parties, and appearances on different platforms; Stranger Things, the Netflix phenomenon is finally coming to an end. Stranger Things released their first season in July of 2016, since then it has become one of the most popular shows around the world. The final season is split up into three different parts. The first part is set to premiere on Netflix in November, the second following in December, and the final part is set to release on New Years Eve.
There are many different speculations of how the show is going to end. Many of the theories include the final game play in Dungeons and Dragons, that makes the most sense by sacrificing other players (most likely assumed to be Will and Eleven sense they are connected to the Upside Down) and getting rid of the upside down all together. Another theory that has been speculated since the beginning of the show is that it will end with the boys back in the basement playing the game and have the whole thing be imagined.
There are thousands of other theories but these seem to be the most popular on social media platforms.
The producers are very strict on giving the audience hints, as of now we know that they will defeat Vecna and the Upside down will no longer exist. A big piece that people know are the names of each episode which allows people to come up with their own ideas. The episode names are: The Crawl, The Vanishing of…, The Turnbow Trap, Sorcerer, Shock Jock, Escape from Camazotz, The Bridge, and “The Rightside Up” The fall of 198.
Although these names don’t reveal a ton and are quite ominous, some do reveal some big hints. From small clips people realized episode two will be the vanishing Karen Wheeler (Mike’s mom) as in season four we saw Vecna’s childhood and she is speculated to be his sister. Episode eight will be the final showdown and most likely we will see the upside-down breakthrough into Hawkins; this is probable because in the finale of season four we saw the upside-down cracking into the original Hawkins. These are just theories and are not confirmed but are very popular within the fan base.
